Day 1-2: Travel Days

Day 1: To Sunbury, OH

The first two days of the trip were spent traveling. On Thursday afternoon, we drove the first leg to Sunbury, OH. Yup, super exciting. We stopped for a hot dinner date at the Denny's in Spiceland, OH.

After dinner, we finished the trip to the campground.

When we arrived at the Sunbury KOA, it was too dark to see, but from their flyover video, it looks like a nice one. Too bad we had to leave too early to check it out.

Day 2: To Littleton, Massachusetts

We got up at 5:50 am and drove about 11 hours through Pennsylvania and New York to our campsite in Littleton, Massachusetts.

There weren't a lot of populated exits, mostly "applegreen" travel plazas. I especially liked being greeted by the little, green trash cans.

It was very interesting to see how much earlier their leaves were turning colors here in comparison to back home.

It was a long drive, but there were a few pretty sites along the way.

We arrived to the Spacious Skies Campground after dark. It's always fun to figure out an unfamiliar campground in the dark with no one working in the office. We finally figured it out, though. We acclimated ourselves to the area and headed to bed for the evening. We'll camp here for three nights: our home base while we explore Boston.
